KVMGalore Today Announced the Availability of Quicklime, a New AI-Driven Data Center Monitoring and Digital Twin Technology from AKCP.
Quicklime introduces a new approach to operational intelligence by combining sensor-driven physical data with embedded artificial intelligence analysis. By integrating real-time environmental and infrastructure data from AKCP's extensive range of sensors, the platform creates a highly accurate digital representation of the data center environment.
A key capability within Quicklime is the integration of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations derived from real-world sensor data, what AKCP calls sensorCFD™. This allows operators to visualize airflow and thermal behavior within the facility while simultaneously applying AI-based analysis to identify inefficiencies and operational risks.
Rather than simply alerting operators to abnormal conditions, Quicklime's embedded AI engine analyzes sensor data, CFD models, and operational patterns to:
• Identify developing issues within the data center environment
• Determine the root causes behind cooling or airflow inefficiencies
• Provide actionable recommendations for remediation
• Enable operators to improve operational efficiency and reliability
By combining AI insights with verified physical sensor data, the platform helps data center teams move from reactive monitoring to proactive optimization. In many environments, this approach can deliver energy efficiency improvements of up to 10%, while enhancing infrastructure visibility and operational decision-making.
"AI is only as good as the data it receives," said Nicholas Barrowclough, President of AKCP. "Quicklime connects AI analytics directly to real-world sensor measurements and digital twin modeling of the facility. The result is a system that not only identifies problems in the data center, but also explains why they occur and how to resolve them."
Quicklime Modules
Quicklime consists of modules that get purchased separately based on your data-center infrastructure management needs. Modules include:
• Sensor Monitoring - for managing and monitoring all your AKCP devices and sensors (including 3rd party sensors), customizing dashboards, graphing, alerts, distributing firmware updates, and remotely configuring devices. Pricing is based on sensor data-points count.
• Data-Center Module - for energy optimization, capacity planning, thermal-risk monitoring, power-train mapping, efficient energy-usage analysis, network-cable mapping, asset management and data-center visualization. Pricing is based on rack count.
• sensorCFD™ Module - an AI-driven, real-time data-center temperature and airflow modeling for sensor-constrained CFD (computational fluid dynamics) modeling, with actual values and performance data that accurately simulates your data centers airflow, cooling capacity and efficiency. Pricing is based on rack count.
• Video Module - Video-camera streaming, recording, playback and synchronization with sensor events, utilizing AI prompting to create video analytical sensors that watch for specific events such as employees not wearing protective gear, crossing into unauthorized areas or checking for hazards. Pricing is based on camera count.
• Door Access Control Module - for controlling access to racks (including remote control) via RFID Swing-Handle Cabinet Locks, controlling access to doors (including remote control) via Door Control Units, setting up schedules, and receiving access log reports. Pricing is based on user ID count.
• Fault-Tolerant and Failover - Scaleable, fault tolerant architecture designed for large-scale deployments with thousands of sensors. This configuration ensures uptime, redundancy, and seamless failover, making it the best choice for enterprise and data center operations.
