Kramer VIA Collage™ wins Sound & Video Contractor magazine Innovative Products Award
Kramer Electronics is pleased to announce that VIA Collage was voted a Sound & Video Contractor 2014 Innovative Products Award winner. The award honors electronic and mechanical innovations in pro AV. Winners were chosen exclusively by Sound & Video Contractor's readers.
This is VIA Collage's fourth major award this year. The product won Best in Show from Government Video Magazine, AV Technology Magazine and Sound & Video Contractor Magazine at InfoComm 2014 in Las Vegas.
Kramer VIA Collage is a wireless presentation and collaboration solution that lets people easily get actual work done during meetings. Users can collaborate on and finalize projects in real time and save the results. With VIA Collage, meeting participants can view, edit, comment on, and share files between individuals or with all participants simultaneously.
VIA Collage's proprietary technology stands out in the market with full HD resolution (1080p60) wireless video streaming. Most other products do not allow full frame rate, causing videos to be choppy and difficult to watch. VIA Collage also features an HDMI input for external video sources such as a camera and DVD or Blu-ray™ players.
"We are getting more demand for BYOD and the VIA Collage fits that niche nicely," said John Delmont, technical sales, VMI. "Many of the collaborative conference rooms we do for folks like Disney and Quiksilver are asking for wireless functionality. The VIA Collage lets them display laptops as well as iPads, iPhones and Droid devices. The security of the encrypted signal is also a plus," added Delmont.
VIA Collage removes common meeting annoyances such as searching for adapters or passing a cable to someone else and waiting for them to configure their laptop to display an image. When users connect to VIA Collage, in one click, their screen (on any PC, Mac, iOS, or Android device) instantly appears on the main display.
Up to six user screens can be shown dynamically on a single main display. Up to 12 screens can be shown simultaneously on two displays. Users can also put the main display on their screen with the View Main Display option. This feature is especially useful for participants sitting far away from the main display.
VIA Collage supports third-party applications such as Skype®, Go To Meeting®, Lync®, WebEx®, Microsoft Office®, and more. VIA Collage'S white board lets users annotate over any file or video frame using their device's keyboard, mouse or touch panel.
Whether users are in the room, down the street or halfway around the world, VIA Collage lets meeting participants instantly connect and collaborate in real time.
